Guide · Choosing an agency
How to choose a marketing agency in Mallorca: a fair checklist

Mallorca has many good agencies, from social media specialists to full-service studios and film crews. The right one depends on what you need. This guide gives you a fair checklist, including honest notes on where a creative AI agency like Ia Mallorca fits and where it does not.
Start with the job, not the agency
Write down what you actually need. Is it a steady flow of social content, paid ads, a brand film, a new website, or strategy? Many disappointments come from hiring a good agency for the wrong job.
Also decide the language and audience. If your guests or buyers speak German, English, Spanish or Swedish, ask how the agency handles each.
Write a short brief that another person could evaluate: your business goal, available assets, audience, deadline and internal approver. Decide what success means before seeking proposals. For a Palma shop it might be qualified enquiries; for a property agent it might be booked viewings.
Know the main agency types
Traditional production agencies and film crews are strong when you need a real shoot: a hotel film, a restaurant, a boat or a property in all its detail. Social media agencies handle posting and community. Performance agencies run ad accounts and media spend. Creative AI agencies produce images, video and ad creative faster and in larger volume.
None is better in every case. Many businesses combine them, for example a real shoot once a year plus monthly creative for ads and social.
Ask each candidate which work it handles directly and which tasks require another supplier. Local presence may help with location visits, while remote specialists may suit an editing assignment. Evaluate the proposed working arrangement rather than assuming that every agency offers the same services.
The checklist
Ask: Can you show public work and explain your role? How long until the first concepts? What is the price, what is included and what is extra? Who owns the content and are commercial rights included? Who manages ad accounts and how is media spend handled? Which languages can you produce? How do we end the relationship if it does not work?
Be careful with promises of guaranteed results, vague pricing, long lock-in contracts, or agencies that cannot explain how they would work for your type of business.
Request a written scope with deliverables, revision stages, approval responsibilities and cancellation terms. Ask who controls your accounts and how files are handed over. Compare proposals on the same scope; a content-only quote and an ongoing management proposal are not interchangeable just because both mention Instagram.
Where Ia Mallorca fits
We are a creative AI agency at Plaça d'En Coll 8 in Palma. We make AI images, videos, UGC-style ads, AI brand ambassadors, retro 3D animation, paid social creative, property video and virtual staging. Public work includes Snusljus Palma, Nic Nac, Nõberu Stockholm, Svensk Fastighetsförmedling and Caia.
First concepts take 48–72 hours. A creative pilot is €490 one-off, real estate plans start at €290/month (6-month commitment) and Campaign Partner is a custom quote. Taxes are extra; posting, ad management and media spend are quoted separately, and you receive full commercial rights to delivered content.
For any AI supplier, ask how factual accuracy and review are handled. Images of a specific room, boat, property or dish should begin with real client material. Ask to distinguish actual project work from illustrative experiments, and never treat a public example as a promise of similar results.
When we are not the right choice
If you need a film of a real hotel, boat, dish or property in precise detail, a real camera shoot is better. If you need full-time community management or a complete rebrand, a different type of agency may serve you better.
Traditional production often costs €5,000–€15,000+ and takes 3–6 weeks, which is justified for hero content. We work best for volume, testing, campaigns and speed. The easiest way to compare is a small pilot: judge the work, the communication and the speed before committing.
After a pilot, assess whether the team understood the brief, respected factual limits and made revisions clearly. Decide whether your own staff can manage approvals and publication. A fair comparison includes the time your business must contribute, not just the amount on the creative production invoice.
Frequently asked questions
What should I ask an agency first?
Ask for public work, what they did on it, timelines, what is included in the price and who owns the content.
Is an AI agency cheaper than a traditional one?
For volume and speed it often is, but they do different jobs. A real shoot is still better for hero content of real places.
Should one agency do everything?
Not necessarily. Many brands combine a production partner, a creative partner and an ad manager.
How can I test an agency with low risk?
